Michael has been in public practice since 1992 assisting small business owners and individuals. He started his professional career with a CPA firm in Sacramento, CA where he gained valuable experience with many aspects of running a small business including taxes, compliance, accounting, record keeping and general business advisory and consulting services. Additionally, he has extensive experience assisting the individual taxpayer with reducing the income tax filing and compliance burdens, strategies to minimize tax liabilities and preliminary development of financial plans to achieve customer goals.

In January 2000 he started what is now Nord & Associates CPA's, Inc. a "next generation" firm focusing on accounting and tax matters for businesses and individuals.  His commitment and desire to work closer with customers was the overriding factor in establishing a new firm predicated on delivering value and empowering business owners through knowledgeable advice and support. Most importantly, he stresses the importance of maintaining effective communication and sees the greatest benefits of his work when customers begin to understand and achieve their goals.

Neha joined our team in February, 2011.  Her professional career includes both private and public accounting experiences over the last ten years.  Most recently, she was with a public firm responsible for accounting duties, financial reporting and income tax preparation.  She also has skills in daily bookkeeping activities, reporting, Quickbooks accounting and income taxes for businesses and individuals.

Susan began with the firm in December, 2011.  She has a well defined background in a variety of administrative functions and light duty accounting and bookkeeping.  Her career includes many aspects of working with others in a variety of duties, responsibilities and customer service.

Chris started working for the firm in December, 2010.  She has 20 years of experience in Sales, Finance and Customer Service capacities, primarily in the Banking and Insurance industries.  She also has light bookkeeping skills and a strong customer service background both in support and sales.  Her career includes managing an extensive portfolio of customer relationships.
